Over the past few years, WEC Laser has grown into the UK’s largest laser profiling company with over 23 laser cutting machines. We’ve invested over £5m over the past 4 years to upgrade all our lasers to the very latest fibre lasers and increase our laser cutting capacity, including 2 x 24kw fibre lasers from Trumpf, the most powerful and accurate Lasers currently available which have increased our overall cutting capacity by over 30% and allowed us to massively reduce our leadtimes.

Welding and Fabrication

We have over 200 skilled welders within the Group, and we can offer TIG, MIG, MAG & Sub Arc Welding. We have dedicated clean welding areas and Aluminium & Stainless Steel welding segregated areas to avoid material contamination. We have also invested in 13 fully automated robotic welding cells, which enable us to produce high volume of parts with unrivalled accuracy and repeatability.

Powder Coating

Boasting two automatic reciprocators and a four stage in-line pre-treatment plant and a 90% powder recovery system, we can powder coat components up to 1.5m high, 3m long and 800mm wide at our Darwen and Coventry facilities.
